The magnet worked.
The warehouse moved.
A report from Acme Heavy Lifting
Initial trials of the Magna-Magnet XXL exceeded our expectations, along with the structural capacity of the testing shed. The magnet successfully attracted every loose nail in the building. Unfortunately, the building was largely made of loose nails.
We are delighted to report that the magnet remained exactly where we put it. The rest of the warehouse arrived shortly afterward.
What we learned
A wooden test bench is a good idea. A wooden test bench held together with metal screws is a less good idea.

The load arrived.
The handles followed.
An update from Acme Transportation
Our Jet-Assisted Wheelbarrow completed its first delivery in a record four seconds. The testing department completed the same journey in a rather different formation shortly afterward.
All equipment arrived intact. The receiving team has asked that future deliveries use the gate, rather than the general direction of the gate.
What we learned
A wheelbarrow is normally something you push. This is a surprisingly difficult habit to unlearn when the wheelbarrow has other plans.
Consider the Jet-Assisted Wheelbarrow
A shorter route.
A longer explanation.
Correspondence from Acme Applied Convenience
At 9:00, we painted a shortcut from the workshop to the equipment shed. At 9:02, it looked very convincing. At 9:05, the testing department had completed three additional laps of the building trying to find where it began.
A second coat made the route appear significantly shorter. The groundskeeper reports that the distance between the buildings remains unchanged.
What we learned
Perspective is a powerful thing. It is not, however, a substitute for a well-placed gate.
